Is there a coverage issue in my area?
A network outage will always affect more than one person. You’ll know there’s an outage if other Meteor customers are having the same issue in your area. If the issue is limited to just you, it might be a problem with your SIM or handset set-up. The easiest way to check this out is to put your SIM card into another Meteor phone.
- If it works in the other phone – it sounds like there’s a problem with your phone. Make sure your battery is charged and that you’re inserting the SIM correctly.
- If your SIM doesn’t work in another Meteor phone, it sounds like there’s a problem with your SIM. Call into a Meteor store to pick up a new SIM with your number on it. If the SIM card isn’t completely dead we may still be able to retrieve any contacts stored on it.
